»Founded in Prague in 1991, the European Academy for Democracy (EAD) is an organisation that encourages democratic processes in the Czech Republic as well as promotes greater European integration. Along with its partner organisations in Europe, the EAD organises seminars on current political, cultural and educational topics. The EAD seeks to be a contact point among people from different backgrounds and origins, where policy can be discussed and new ideas exchanged.«[1]

Organizational Structure and Funding

The EAD has a presidium of 14, a executive council (Výkonná rada) of 4 and a supervisory council (Dozorčí rada) of 4 indivuals.
