Julie Girlin is a British politician of the Conservative Party and since 2009 Member of the European Parliament. Prior to her engagement in the European Parliament, whe she was elected as a Councillor on Cotswold District Council in 1999 and became Leader of the Council in 2003. In 2000 she was elected to Gloucestershire County Council and became the Lead Cabinet Member for the Environment in 2005.
