|Outpt_notes=The CDK publishes 3 different periodicals. One is on the history of the catholic church and two are on politics etc. Of these two we only included 'Contexts' in our statistic. 'Revue Politika' (the second paper) has its own website and seems to be present only in the web. However they published nearly 800 articles since 2001.

Seminars and workshops counted here are mainly courses of study. Therefore they are by far underestimated by our figures. Trainings, seminars and workshops are one of the main outputs of the CDK.

The Centre for the Study of Democracy and Culture (CDK) is an independent non-profit think tank working on the topic of democratization and analyzing European law-making.

Organizational Structure and Funding

The CDK consists of two parts – the Institute for Politics and Culture (Institut pro politiku a kulturu, IPK) and the Institute for Christian Studies (Institut krestanských studií, IKS). Furthermore, it publishes its own publication series. The institute is led by a four-member directorate whose decisions are carried out by the executive chairman.

Working mode, goals

The Institute organizes seminars and conferences, and publishes the online journal “Revue Politika”. In 2009 and 2010 the institute was mentioned 92 and 37 times in the media (including daily press). In this two year period it published 9 press releases.


Topics

We used the DGs of the EU to generate a basic list of topics. This list is going to be steadily extended. However we try to preserve a persistent list of topics.

  • Justice and fundamental rights

Democratization and European law-making are key topics.
