Studied pharmacy, was elected or reelected as member of the Maltese parliament in 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981 and 1987, several times minister of the Maltese government, from 1989 to 1994 president of Malta. President of the Academy for the Development of a Democratic Environment (AZAD) from 1976 to 1988. Died in 2012.[1]
