In 2011, Bokros broke ties with the party Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF). Party representatives had accuses him of irresponsibility and lack of loyalty since the elections. They demanded that Bokros returned his mandate. Today, Bokros is an independent MEP. In April 2011 the Democratic Community of Welfare and Freedom (JESZ)legally succeeded the Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF).In December 2011, the JESZ launched a civil law suit against Bokros demanding financial compensation.
