Hunke was a critic of western liberalism and of Christianity, favouring a "German" or "European" religion. She had influence on the Nouvelle Droite and on the Thule Seminar's founder Pierre Krebs. She is seen as one of the more important thinkers of the New Right in Germany. She died in 1999.
